FAQ
Are you excited about the prospect of joining a dance club? Here at TC Dance Club, we welcome anyone who wants to improve (or create!) their dancing ability. All of our classes are relaxed and filled with fun instructions designed to help individuals have more fun on any dance floor.
You possibly have some questions about our club and learning to dance by now. So, for your convenience, we've listed the top 10 questions most frequently asked by prospective new members
below.
Will It Take Long?
The length of the program depends on how many dances you would like to learn and how proficient
you would like to become in each dance; however, you will be able to dance the basic steps after your first lesson.
Can I Really Learn to Dance?
Yes. Dancing is as easy as walking once you are taught by a TC Dance Club expert. Thousands of satisfied members have been successfully trained at the TC Dance Club throughout the 30+ years of our operation. There is no age limit. Our oldest student is over 70. The youngest are usually in their early twenties. The majority fall between the ages of 30 and 60.
Is Your System Of Teaching Difficult?
We teach 6 basic movements from which the dances are derived.
How Much Do The Lessons Cost?
Your investment depends on a number of factors: how good you want to be, what dances you want to learn as well as the number of days and weeks in your dance schedule. Try your complimentary lesson. After your first lesson, you will know if you wish to continue with your dancing.
Do The Program Fees Have To Be Paid in Advance?
There are several convenient methods of payments available. If you prefer, you can budget the fee in small installments to suit your needs.
Will I Really Learn The Steps?
Yes. You can learn the latest steps in any or all of the social dances - East Coast and Lindy Swing, Hustle, Salsa, Samba, Merengue, Foxtrot, Rumba, Cha-Cha, Mambo, Waltz and the Tango. We also teach Country dances.
Will I Have To Return Year After Year to Retain My Steps?
After getting a good foundation and learning to dance correctly in the beginning, you will be able to retain your dance ability quite easily; however, many members remain at the Dance Club simply because they enjoy their lessons, the group activities, the dancing confidence and the new friends they have acquired.
May I Take The Lessons At Any Time Convenient To Me?
You may take your lesson any time you wish. For individual instructions, our club is open from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Will I Have A Good Teacher?
All of our instructors are competent. The instructors selected for you are the ones who best suit your personality. To qualify as a TC Dance club instructor, they must complete a most arduous training regimen.
What Benefits Do I Derive?
Dancing is our first line of social activity. Good dancing is a lifetime investment in fun, poise, confidence, personality improvement and new friends. Beyond these, dancing is a superb physical conditioner - providing a fun workout without working at it! It opens up a wonderful new world of togetherness and a thriving year-round social calendar!
